How to stop nicotine cravings

One of the most pervasive drugs in the world today is nicotine addiction.  Whether it is smoked or chewed, millions of people in the world are hooked into consuming this drug on a regular basis.  People who smoke associated pleasure with nicotine associated with a variety of other activities such as drinking, nightclubs, dinner, and many others.  Strangely enough, folks think that smoking relaxes them even though they are consuming large amounts of stimulant into themselves every day.  Thankfully, some folks have been able to have success in stopping their addiction as of late.

Most purported experts on stop smoking campaigns create programs on the best way to quit smoking focused on fear.  These programs are designed to get images and messages out to the public that make smokers feel afraid.  They do this by showing them an image of a blackened lung, dirty teeth, or tracheotomies to have smokers fear for their lives.  They believe that if this fear is strong enough, the smoker will feel inclined to automatically stop smoking.  Unfortunately people just do not respond that way to these messages.  This message is made even worse by the fact that the marketers continually tell folks how hard it is to quit.  They do this to sell smokers smoking cessations products.  Of course, when it comes to profits, it benefits them when these products do not actually work over time.

The best  way to stop smoking is simply to just do it.  But the marketing campaigns that are out there touting fear with images and statistics are also putting out campaigns that state that quitting smoking is impossible.  As much effort is put out there telling people that cigarettes will devastate your health and kill you, they devote just as much time and effort telling folks that it is impossible to quit and that the statistics are against anyone who tries.
